I stopped by China Express for a quick takeout meal, and it’s a pretty solid neighborhood Chinese spot. The restaurant is simple and no-frills, mostly focused on takeout, but the food comes out hot and fast. The restaurant is located on Brookland Park Boulevard in Richmond and mainly serves classic American-Chinese dishes. I ordered General Tso’s chicken with fried rice, and the portion was generous. The chicken had a nice crispy texture with a sweet and slightly spicy sauce, and the fried rice was flavorful and filling. The prices are affordable and the service is quick, which makes it a convenient option when you want a casual Chinese meal without waiting too long. Overall, China Express is a dependable local spot for classic takeout favorites.
I ordered a lunch portion through UberEats. There was only 4 pieces of beef and mainly rice in the container! I did not pay $10 for a bowl of mainly white rice. And the sauce had a funny aftertaste. To top it off, I couldn't get a partial credit or refund for my order.
